The implementation of International Education Programmes Act came into force
On 15 July 2016, the Implementation of International Education Programmes Act (Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia (Ur. l. RS, No. 46/2016 – hereinafter: the ZIMPVI) came into force.
The Act provides the legal basis for private kindergartens and schools implementing international programmes in a foreign language in Slovenia, enabling their registration with the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport. Despite their registration, these kindergartens and schools will not be part of our educational system and will not be subject to sectoral legislation governing education, wherefore they will not be eligible to receive public funds for their operation.
